At my still in son's wedding in September there.....I was ignored by people who stood with me and my wife and congratulated her...not a glance in my direction.....yep Jan Carroll,Peter Mair and another hundred or so.....you all know who you are......God might forgive you for that pish....but I won't.

The "sweet influence of the Pleiades" is also easy to answer if you consider the stars.....The Pleiades are in the constellation of Taurus....so whoever on here has a birthday in the sign of Taurus....you will know that the sun is gaining in strength as we reach the middle of Spring in the northern hemisphere.......growth and fecundity have arrived.....happy times and busy times......this is the sweet influence of the Pleiades.....the happy days of Spring.....however....none of us can bind that sweet influence.....because darkness,cold and death will return again as the cycle of the year proceeds.

I watched that vid Slimbo.....can someone give the context for the statement from Don Pettit at the end of the video. (Never seen that before).
He says "I would go to the moon in a nanosecond,the problem is we don't have the technology to do that anymore....we used to but we destroyed that technology and it's a painful process to build it back again"
Can someone elaborate?

Common Figure of Speech/Colloquialism?
by rstrats in1. the messiah said that three nights would be involved with his time in the "heart of the earth".. 2. there are some who believe that the crucifixion took place on the 6th day of the week with the resurrection taking place on the 1st day of the week.. 3. of those, there are some who believe that the "heart of the earth" is referring to the tomb.. 4. however, those two beliefs allow for only 2 nights to be involved.. 5. to account for the discrepancy, some of the above say that the messiah was using common figure of speech/colloquial language of the time, i.e., that it is was common to forecast or say that a day or a night would be involved with an event when no part of the day or no part of the night could occur.. 6. in order for someone to legitimately say that it was common, they would have to know of more that 1 example to make that assertion.. 6. for the purpose of this topic, i would like to ask if there are any 6th day of the week crucifixion advocates who think the messiah was employing common figure of speech/colloquial language of the period?.

rstrats....the cycle is the reason for all of the bible stories....xmas is the end of the yearly cycle and the beginning of the new cycle....the old sun dies on Dec 22nd (winter solstice) and around three days later the new cycle starts....the newborn,weak sun starts its journey around Galilee.....which means "circuit".....it is the story of the sun and the daily/yearly cycle.
